Eminem feat. Lil' Wayne - No Love

From one collaboration to another...Eminem enlists Young Money general Lil' Wayne on this one. Sampling Haddaway's 'What is Love', the Just Blaze-produced track is quite unlike Slim's prior offerings. I'm unconvinced...Recovery's out June 21st...

Thank Me Later - Official Track Listing

Here's the official track listing for Drake's debut record Thank Me Later...I'm seeing one too many features...Collaborations with Jay-Z & Alicia Keys will be unquestionably sick. Excluding leaks & pre-released singles (Find Your Love, Shut It Down & Over), Canada's finest isn't unnacompanied all that often. I don't doubt TML will be great & collab argument aside, can't wait for June 15th...

Say Aaaaaaahhh

It's a quiet week on the leak front so thought I'd throw this your way. It's getting a lot of airtime in the UK & rightly so. Off the under-rated LP "Ready", it's Trey Songz featuring Fabolous- Say Aah. Here's the official video...

Yo peeps, just a quick heads-up...Got heaps of work on at the moment so unless something big comes up, I wont be posting all that much. Catch you soon...

Young Artists For Haiti- Wavin' Flag

Proof BYEV isn't all bitches and hoes...Canadian artists including Justin Bieber, Kardinall Offishall & Drake feature on a group rendition of poet & musician, K'naan's "Wavin' Flag". The track's timely message of strength & solidarity is touchingly applied to the Haiti disaster, by an eclectic blend of performers. By all means peep the link, but visit itunes & purchase too- a share of the proceeds go to 'Free the Children', 'World Vision' & 'War Child' charities...

Kid Cudi- Pursuit of Happiness (Alternate Video)

Not much to say about this one...Cudi together with MGMT & Ratatat. It's the smokey, gritty, trippy alternate video for the "Pursuit of Happiness". Oh, and it's pretty damn cool...

Usher- OMG (feat. will.i.am)

Usher teams up with will.i.am for this one. "Raymond v. Raymond" hits stores on March 26- the production list alone - Jermaine Dupri, Ne-Yo, Ester Dean, The Neptunes - should see this one fly off the shelves. Peep the link...

Lloyd- I Need You...

Frankly, you need this. Here's an unreleased banger from "Young" Lloyd. The 24-year-old's voice is maybe an acquired taste but many (myself included) think he's massively under-rated...I'm having trouble linking you at the moment but I'll sort it asap...

Kid Cudi- I Do My Thing...

Cleveland's finest enlists the help of Snoop Do-g-g on this one. Cudi's 'Man on the Moon' is incredible, in stores now & well worth your hard-earned dollars & pounds- pick it up. Scroll for the link...

82nd Annual Academy Awards...

As the dust settled on the 82nd Academy Awards, it was Kathryn Bigelow's independent Iraqi war drama, with six statues in its (Hurt) Locker...The beautifully-rendered 3D epic 'Avatar's modest award-count won't leave James Cameron too disheartened, he's approximately 2.6 billion reasons to be smiling. Here's a pick of the winners...

Best Picture- The Hurt Locker

Best Actor- Jeff Bridges (Crazy Heart)

Best Actress- Sandra Bullock (The Blind Side)

Director- Kathryn Bigelow (The Hurt Locker)

Supporting Actor- Cristoph Waltz (Inglorious Basterds)

Original Screenplay- The Hurt Locker

Cinematography- Avatar

Oscar Sunday

May as well get my film blog on, while Empire magazine keep a desk warm for me...

The simply brilliant "Slumdog Millionaire" swept aside the competition in 2009 for eight Academy Awards. 2010's ceremony, however, may produce a surprisingly diverse winner's list.

"Avatar" & "The Hurt Locker" look set to battle for 'Best Picture', though Pixar's 3D masterpiece "Up", "Inglorious Basterds" and "Up in the Air", are more than capable of causing a shock...

I'll catch you on the other side with a full list of winners, enjoy...

On A Roll...

While I'm still finding my blogging feet, I'll just throw links & irreverent stuff your way...It may be Oscars weekend, but there are a tonne of awesome-looking films on their way in 2010. "The Losers" (April 16) & "Kick-Ass" (April 2) stand out, in particular. Boasting cool casts, pulsating action & cocky one-liners, both look set for critical and commercial success...

The Losers (Trailer HD)
Kick-Ass (Trailer HD)

Alicia Keys- Unthinkable (I'm Ready)

If you haven't already got The Element of Freedom, you should. Aside from the incredible (if a little overplayed) "Empire State of Mind, Part II", there really isn't a bad track on the album. Co-written by Drake, "Unthinkable" is set to hit the air- & television-waves very soon, look out for it...

Akon- Party Animal

Following the success of "Sexy Chick" (or bitch if you prefer), Akon & David Guetta have collaborated on another sure-fire club hit, "Party Animal". On first play, I wasn't convinced but it's already growing on me...Peep the link

Let Tiger Out Of The Woods...

Mate of mine sent me this earlier this week...Anyone interested in the Tiger Woods saga, check it out, pretty damn funny...

"
Tigers apology.......To my wife, I'm sorry. I fucked up but I'm not changing so you'll either need to put up with this shit or I'll stroke you the check I agreed to in the pre-nup....sorry. To my fans, get over it. Where I stick my dick is none of your business. If you care....sorry. I don't need any of you in order to... make 10 times in one year what you'll make in a career. I promise to continue to hit 4 irons from 210 yards to within 10' of the hole and drop puts that you couldn't read in a million years. If that's not good enough for you, go watch tennis. To the media. You cocksuckers are the only ones more two-faced than I am. Kissing my ass for all those years and then ripping me every chance you've had since Thanksgiving. Fuck all ya'll. I'm glad I don't have to take the time to sit and answer the same bullshit questions over and over again...

To the other golfers. Kiss my cablanasian ass! You motherfuckers come out ripping me when I've put more fucking money in your pockets than you could count. You think anyone's been paying to see Jesper-fucking-Parnavik? Give me a fucking break. I'm almost tempted to give up golf just to punish you guys but I think it's ...going to be more fun to practice for the next few weeks and get back to making you all my bitches. That's all I got today folks.....see ya at Augusta !....Oh and Bambi, if you're listening I'll meet you at the Ritz in 45 minutes.

The Wait Is "Over"

Been extremely lazy on the blogging front recently, but back with something BIG for you... Drake's been busy working away on his debut record Thank Me Later & released the first single "Over", late this Thursday evening. With no official release date, the hype surrounding TML will continue to escalate over the coming weeks. And rightly so. "Over" is no less than we've come to expect from Young Money's MVP - elaborate instrumentals, sick vocals & hard-hitting lyrics. Collaborations with Kanye West, Kid Cudi & Lil Wayne are sure to make TML a huge hit. I'll keep you posted on all the developments...
